Topic: Hope

Scripture: Isaiah 7:5-17 (Pew Bible page 518)

Message Summary:

During a crisis of unimaginable proportion, the hearts of Ahaz, the king of Judah and the people of Jerusalem were shaken.  His neighbors from the northern kingdom of Israel joined forces with Syria and were bent on attacking the beloved city.  Despite their fears, the prophet Isaiah offered a very important three-letter word.  Join me on Sunday as we discover not only a small word but the big promises behind that word.  God would not let Jerusalem fall at the hands of their enemies and God would send a powerful sign—a sign that would find complete fulfillment in Jesus.  A son would be born, his name will be Immanuel.  The God that was with Ahaz is also with us and will deliver us from our most difficult trials.
