Message Summary:
On this first Sunday in Advent we look back to Ahaz, a king of Jerusalem during the Old Testament times, in order to help us look forward to a future hope. Ahaz was consumed by fear and fell into a disastrous reliance on his own understanding when he realized that two former allies had turned against him. The international intrigue of Ahaz’ day mirror our own and pose the question, where is our ultimate trust. In such a time of uncertainty God provided an unmistakable sign for Ahaz and for the world— A virgin will bear a child and name him Immanuel. Join us today as anticipate the coming of Jesus rely on God to guide us through these challenging times.
