Loving Enough to Confront

Topic: Holiness

Scripture Reading: John 8:1-11 (Pew Bible page 786)

Message Summary:

Thanksgiving is upon us and the holiday will bring conversations with family members and friends who hold very different views about life.  The world celebrates diversity and often concludes that a God, who created so many different things, loves our diversity.  Yet, is it diversity of any kind that God really loves, or is it something else?  In today’s message we will examine the case of a woman caught in adultery and discover how Jesus, in perfect love, separated the woman’s person from her sin.  In the end, because of her encounter with Jesus, the woman was able to understand the difference between her brokenness and the best dreams that God had for her life.  Join with me as pray about bringing the transforming power of compassion coupled truth of God’s Word to our Thanksgiving tables.
