SCRIPTURE Jeremiah 29:11-14
FROM TODAY’S MESSAGE : “Believing is Hope”
Jeremiah 29:11-14
I. What is hope? Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
II. When should we have hope? Psalm 131:3 “Israel, hope in the Lord from this time on and forevermore”
III. Where should our hope be? Psalm 130: “O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem”
IV. How should we hope?
A. Mark 5:25-28 “25 Now there was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years. 26 She had endured much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had; and she was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 She had heard about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 for she said, “If I but touch his clothes, I will be made well.”
B: Psalm 31:24 tells us how we should hope. “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!” NLT
V. Conclusion The greatest hope ever is found in Romans 5:8 “But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.” Believing is hope.
