Scripture Reading I Peter 4:7-11 (Pew Bible page 896)
Message Summary
As our pancake breakfast draws closer, we will invite many friends and neighbors who do not attend church yet care deeply about spiritual matters. In our conversations, let’s be open to hearing why they are not attending and to learning from their experiences. On the one hand, some may not be attending because they are angry at God or because they feel that they can believe in God without attending a church. On the other hand, some do not attend because a professing Christian was unkind to them in the past. God calls us to be different and our pancake breakfast will be a great opportunity for you and me to become ambassadors for Christ. Join with me on Sunday look for guidance in Peter’s second letter to Christians in the diaspora. With great spiritual insight, the Apostle points us toward our higher calling and to the blessings that come to others when we faithfully live in Christ.
