Aura may be “The Home Church You Have Been Looking For!” Hello, I am Dr. J and I want to invite you join us as we explore the powerful truths of the Bible and apply them to our lives. How many times a day do you use your cell phone? This is the question that researchers in one recent study asked. Chips were installed in the phones of 94 volunteers who were tracked for five days. The results showed that heavy smartphone users click, tap or swipe their phone 5,427 times a day. Each tap requires attention soit should be no surprise that more people are having accidental falls, getting into traffic accidents and having less conversation around the dinner table. The use of digital devices has also been increasingly associated with feelings of isolation, anxiety and depression.
I will ask different yet related message in this message, “How can I find deeper connection with God?” Will putting down the devices and experiencing God at a deeper level help us to steer away from some of the negative feelings that have robbed our joy? Come and check it out, but beware—A deeper connection may require us to think about changing some habits that have escaped our attention.
