SCRIPTURE LESSON Titus 2:11-14
From today’s message… Jesus School,
Titus 2:11-14
- Intro. Very few of us are ever going to be in school again as a student but this morning as we look to the Word of God, we will see that we are always to be in Jesus school. It’s a school that started the day you trusted in Christ as your Savior. Whenever your “first day of Jesus School” was recent years ago, point is that if you trust in Christ, you are enrolled in God’s school.
- Welcome to Jesus School.
- As students our first lesson is to renounce the past.
- B. Secondly, as students in Jesus School we focus wholly on the PRESENT task God has given to us. “To live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age.”
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourselves in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
- Thirdly, as students in Jesus School we keep our eyes on the future. Verse 13 “waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,”
III. How is school going?
- Are you becoming more like Jesus? Is God transforming you? Maybe you’ve been on “spiritual vacation” living for yourself.
- It’s time to get back to school. It’s time to sit under the Lord again. Do you need a refresher course? He’s got you covered!
