How to Overcome Anger
- Acknowledge- you must let people know how much you value them. How much you care.
- Negotiate– let the other person know how you feel, “I’m hurt.” or “I feel rejected or alone.” Talk your anger out with respect towards the other person.
- Guard– Always listen to the volume of your voice. Speak in a tone that is more caring and tender. It makes people feel more comfortable to talk with you and telling you how they feel.
- Establish– Determine in yourself that you are not going to bed until this matter is resolved.
- Release– Don’t keep a diary of the things that someone has done to you. Release them from that hurtful anger. Pray for the grace of God to forgive the other person.
