Veterans Day

Thanking Our Veterans

Veteran’s Day, November 11, is a day that we thank God for those who sacrificially served our nation in order to protect our freedom of religious expression and other freedoms that we cherish.  Take the time to thank a veteran that you know and to reach out to those who are currently serving our country.  We are thankful that we live in a country that was founded on Christian values and that enables us to freely worship our amazing and sovereign God.  With thanksgiving, let’s place our hand over our hearts, stand for our national anthem and pray for our nation as we rededicate ourselves to sharing the hope of Jesus within our communities.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God,
so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
(Ephesians 6:10-12)
